The City of Alcoa announced today that construction is substantially complete and its new Alcoa Service Center is set to open. The City of Alcoa Public Works & Engineering Department, Electric Department, and Meter Division along with the Alcoa Municipal Employees Credit Union will be moving into the Alcoa Service Center on Saturday, July 12, 2008 and will be open for business at the new location on Monday, July 14, 2008.

The address for the Public Works & Engineering, Electric, and Meter operations will be 725 Universal Street. The Alcoa Municipal Credit Union address will be 727 Universal Street. There will be no change in the public telephone numbers for any of the departments.

The Alcoa Service Center is located off Wright Road on the former site of Burruss Wood Products / Veach May Wilson. A grand opening and public open house will be planned for a later date.
