The City of Alcoa Public Works and Engineering Department announced today the closure of a portion of Hall Road by Stansell Electric Company, contractor with the City of Alcoa and City of Maryville for various traffic signal and intersection improvements. The right, northbound lane of Hall Road between Franklin Street and Associates Boulevard will close between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. beginning Monday, November 29, 2010 and ending Friday, December 3, 2010. This closure is necessary for the installation of conduit and fiber optic cable interconnecting the cities’ traffic signals. The work will be postponed in the event of inclement weather.

Motorists are urged to exercise caution during this work and to seek alternative routes when practical
