The City of Alcoa Public Works and Engineering Department announced today that Stansell Electric Company, contractor with the City of Alcoa and City of Maryville for various traffic signal and intersection improvements, will begin construction of a right-turn island at the Hall Road / Lincoln Road intersection on Monday, November 1, 2010. This work will require closure of the right, northbound lane of Hall Road at Lincoln Road as noted below:

• Monday, November 1 – From 7:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 2.
• Tuesday, November 2 – From 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
• Wednesday, November 3 – From 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

The work will be postponed in the event of inclement weather.

Motorists are urged to exercise caution during this work and to seek alternative routes when practical.
