Due to inclement weather, the City of Alcoa is extending curbside leaf collection through the week of January 25-28, 2011. The additional week will allow residents extra time to gather remaining leaves for collection. All leaves to be collected should be at the street by 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 25. Each street will receive one service during that week. After that service is delivered, any other leaves must be bagged and placed at the curb for collection by the City’s brush trucks. During the City’s Spring Leaf Pickup (March 15 through 25), the vacuum collectors will again be used for the pickup of loose leaves.
