The Alcoa Police Department will conduct a traffic safety saturation patrol on Friday, September 4, 2009 and Saturday, September 5, 2009 from 8:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m. Officers will enforce all moving and non-moving violations on city streets and state routes while paying particular attention to Alcoa Highway (US 129), Pellissippi Parkway (I-140), Hunt Road (S.R. 335), Old Knoxville Highway (S.R. 33), Topside Road (S.R. 333) and Lamar Alexander Pkwy (U.S. 321). Officers will focus on DUI enforcement, aggressive drivers, speeders, as well as those violating seat belt and child restraint laws. This saturation patrol is being conducted as part of the City’s commitment to safe travel on its roadways.
