11/19/2010    Alcoa to Conduct Saturation Patrol

The Alcoa Police Department will conduct a traffic safety saturation patrol on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Officers will be enforcing all moving and non-moving violations on city streets and state routes while paying particular attention to Alcoa Highway (US 129), Pellissippi Parkway (I-140), Hunt Road (S.R. 335), Old Knoxville Highway (S.R. 33) and Topside Road (S.R. 333). Officers will focus on seatbelt enforcement, aggressive drivers, speeders, and seatbelt/child restraint violations. This saturation patrol is being conducted as part of our commitment to safe travel on our highways and is part of the Governors Highway Safety Office, High Visibility Law Enforcement Campaign Grant.
