09/08/2009    Alcoa Promotes Wilson to Sergeant

City of Alcoa Police Chief Ken Burge announced today the promotion of Officer Rodney Wilson to the position of Police Sergeant. Sgt. Wilson has been with the department since September 1999 having most recently served as a Traffic Safety Officer. He is currently serving as a Police Motorcycle Instructor, Firearms Instructor / Armorer, and Traffic Crash Reconstructionist for the department. Prior to his career at the Alcoa Police Department, he worked with the Blount County Sheriff’s Office and Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary. Sgt. Wilson and his wife, Kelly, have four children, Chase, Reagan, Brody and Grady.
