During the weeks of Christmas and New Year holidays the following adjustments will be made for residents and commercial customers in the City of Alcoa.

• Residential Garbage Collection will be adjusted as follows:

There will be no changes in residential garbage collection during the Christmas or New Year holiday weeks.

• Residential Recycling will be adjusted as follows:

There will be no changes in recycling collection during the Christmas or New Year holiday weeks.

• Bulky Waste and Leaf Collection will be adjusted as follows:

Every effort will be made to collect residential brush and leaf collections normally scheduled for Friday, December 23 on Thursday, December 22. Tuesday thru Thursday routes remain unchanged. There will be no changes during the New Year holiday week.

• Commercial Sanitation Collection:

There will be no changes in commercial sanitation collection during the Christmas and New Year holiday weeks.

• Alcoa / Maryville / Blount County Landfill:

Closed all day on Saturday, December 24 and Saturday, December 31. Aside from these two days, the Landfill will be open under their normal operating hours, 8:00 – 5:30
