The Alcoa and Maryville Police Departments along with the Blount Count Sheriff’s Office will conduct a traffic safety saturation patrol on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. Officers will be enforcing all moving and non-moving violations on city streets and state routes while paying particular attention to Alcoa Highway (US 129), Pellissippi Parkway (I-140), Hunt Road (S.R. 335), Old Knoxville Highway (S.R. 33), Lamar Alexander Parkway (S.R. 321), and Topside Road (S.R. 333). Officers will focus on seatbelt enforcement, aggressive drivers, speeders, and seatbelt/child restraint violations. This saturation patrol is being conducted as part of our commitment to safe travel on our highways and is part of the Governor’s Highway Safety Office, High Visibility Law Enforcement Campaign Grant and the Holiday Season Occupant Protection campaign. | |
