Streets & Drainage Projects
- Alcoa Parkway - According to latest information from TDOT, funding for right-of-way acquisition is scheduled for 2010.
- Alcoa/Maryville Traffic Signal Coordination & Communication Improvements - Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) Master Plan - Consultant: Kimley-Horn Associates. Awaiting authorization to proceed from TDOT.
- Middlesettlements Rd Improvements - Right-of-way acquisitions underway by TDOT. Construction Bid Winter 2008/09; begin construction spring 2009; complete 2010 / 2011.
- US 129 Bypass / Bessemer St Bridge Repairs - Construction underway.
Water & Wastewater Projects
- WTP Auxiliary Raw Water Intake - Phase 2 - Permanent Installation of Raw Water Line - Morgan Contracting. Most of line installation complete except for river crossing. River crossing 50% complete.
- Middlesettlements Rd WL Relocation - Hunters Crossing to Mt Tabor - Consultant: Barge Wagonner Sumner & Cannon. Design complete. Finalizing easement acquisitions. Should advertise for bid late fall 2008.
- Overlook Water Tank & Pump Station Improvements - Consultant: C2RL; Contractor: WBS. - 95% complete. Pump station delivered.
- Grant Street Relief Sewer- Consultant: ARCADIS. Survey complete.
Greenways/Sidewalks/Parks Projects
- Pistol Ck Greenway Phase III – Springbrook Rd to Meadowwood Apts. - Will start in conjuction with Culton Creek Greenway and Louisville Road sidewalk.
- Culton Ck Greenway and Louisville Road Sidewalk - Contacting property owners for easement.
- Greenway Bridge - US 129 Bypass - A&E: Wilbur Smith Associates & Ross/Fowler Architects. 100% plans review complete. Final design submitted to TDOT.
- Springbrook Pavilion Repairs - Contractor: Lynn Sanford Construction. Repairs underway.
Landfill
- Landfill - Expansion of Permit Areas - Awaiting final approval from TDEC.
- Waste to Energy Proposal - RFP being reviewed.
- Methane Recovery Project - Proposals solicited and due November 6, 2008.
- Electronic Waste Collection, Recycling & Disposal - Proposal received from firms October 30, 2008.
Miscellaneous
- Service Center - Complete. Open house scheduled for November 20.
- Pellissippi Place R & D Park - Consultant: C2RL Ground breaking November 5. Contractor: Blount Excavating.
