The Water and Wastewater Services Division operates the water distribution and wastewater collection system of the City. Over 9,800 water and 5,500 sewer customers (households and businesses) are served by these 20 employees. Their service area extends well beyond the Alcoa City limits, reaching the Jones Bend area of Fort Loudoun Lake to the north, west to Middlesettlements Road, east to the Wildwood and Nails Creek communities, and south to the Maryville City limits. The Water and Wastewater crews install, repair, replace, and maintain the water and sanitary sewer lines in these areas. Mark Ross, Construction Services Supervisor, and his fellow employees are on-call 24 hours per day, seven days per week to serve the customers’ needs. They work out of the Construction Services offices on Hall Road.
