Commercial Fee Info & Credits

Stormwater credits are ONLY available to Commercial Units.

Public Works & Engineering has developed a system of credit adjustments or reductions to the monthly stormwater utility fee for commercial units with the intent to encourage sound technical design practices through specific and approved actions which reduce the negative impact of development on the City’s stormwater system. Detailed information concerning stormwater credits is available in the Alcoa Stormwater Utility Manual.

Credit Summary

• Quantity Credits – Up to 25%
• Quality Credits – Up to 50%
• TN Multi-Sector Permit – 10%
• Education Credits – Up to 25%
• Industrial National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit – 50%
• Direct Discharge Credit - Up to 25%

There is a maximum total credit of 75% for all Commercial Unit classifications.

Review Your Impervious Area

You can review your property boundary and mapped impervious area online at http://www.blountgis.com/coa_storm utilizing the following step by step instructions:

1. Open the website and click on the task: STORM WATER ACCOUNT.
2. A window will open. Type in the account number referenced above, and click: SEARCH. The website will display your property depicting the impervious area in a shade of light gray.
3. To remove the gray color from the displayed map, click the + sign next to the account number under the RESULTS WINDOW and uncheck the box next to the text IMPERVIOUS AREAS.
